Our first location opened in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on Historic Victoria Row in 1993. We are located in a restored general mercantile, that LM Montgomery would have shopped in, according to local historians.
Our second location originally opened in New London in the Manse of the Church LM Montgomery would have once been a member.
In 1999, we moved into our new location in Cavendish, in Avonlea, The Village of Anne of Green Gables where you can find us in the train station.
In 2008 the Anne of Green Gables Store was bought by George and Maureen Campbell who also own and operate the Anne of Green Gables Museum in Park Corner. Being relatives of the author Lucy Maud Montgomery, they are delighted to offer licensed Anne of Green Gables books and product directly from Prince Edward Island, the author’s birthplace and where she was inspired to write her famous novel Anne of Green Gables.
